With nearly one billion consumers and huge growth potential in core infrastructure sectors, Africa is now topping the list of up-and-coming regional markets worldwide. Here's your chance to contribute to the accurate rating of marketing on the continent by completing a research survey aimed at marketing practitioners in Africa.
Described as the world's largest untapped market by professor Vijay Mahajan in his new book, Africa Rising, the continent is rapidly moving from its common perception as a global charity case to one of solid market opportunity with sustainable, incremental growth. Given the upside growth potential in Africa, the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Council -- a global membership group of 4,000 controlling some $120-billion in annual marketing spend -- is keen to tap the views and opinions of senior executives and managers across Africa to benchmark the perceived effectiveness and value of marketing teams, investments and business development programs. As a member of the CMO Council community, we would appreciate any assistance you can provide in forwarding this survey email to your senior executives and managers across Africa, as well as to customers, subscribers or business contacts in the region. The survey takes just 10 minutes to complete and will give the CMO Council a real benchmark for evaluating the marketing function's level of innovation, influence and impact in Africa. Here is the link to the survey site: http://www.cmocouncil.org/africa/survey.asp. Responses will be kept confidential and the aggregated findings will be presented in a comprehensive survey report that will be made available to you and other participants at no cost.
