Nando’s changes packaging range

Nando's will launch its new packaging range, using consumer generated content. The new packaging has been designed to meet the practical and functional needs of the business, all the while engaging the consumer with the brand.

Key consumer trends on a global level informed the decision to engage the consumer in dialogue that would lead to the fun iconography of the new packaging. These trends included; social commentary, philanthropy, co-creation and introspection, which lead to an international survey that asked customers about some of life's most challenging questions. The answers that inspired the new packaging range, are now also featured on the packaging itself as a means to further engage the consumer in a continued conversation.

As an extension of the process, the dialogue is continued with the development of a website platform that consumers are encouraged to visit. Yourchirp.com enables consumers to chirp their answers to life's big questions or to post questions of their own, making it possible for Nando's to continuously connect with their consumers.

Nando's new packaging range will launch in Nando's restaurants throughout South Africa from mid 2009.
